Game Setup
Getting ready for kickoff

Enter Your Team & Opponent
Type your team name and your opponent's name. Choose the number of quarters (1–4). Your team name and colors are saved automatically.

Build Your Roster
Tap Edit Roster to add players (first name + last initial). Assign jersey numbers. Set your QB. Your roster persists across all games.

Mark Attendance
Tap any player in the Absent list to mark them out. Absent players are excluded from rotations and don't appear in stats.

Pick Your Colors
Choose a primary and secondary color for your scoreboard, buttons, and TD animations. Tap any color swatch to apply it.

⚡ Kick Off
Tap KICK OFF to enter the game screen. Everything auto-saves as you play — no data is lost if you switch apps mid-game.
Auto-save is on the whole time. If you get a call or switch apps, your game state is automatically restored when you come back. Just open the app again.
Scoring
Track the game score
+TD Button
Adds 6 points. Triggers a touchdown fanfare (ascending musical tones), haptic buzz, and score animation. Works for both teams.
+1pt / +2pt
Use these for conversion attempts after a touchdown. Tap +1 for a 1-point conversion run/pass, +2 for a 2-point conversion.
Undo Score
The ↩ button removes 1 point from that team's current quarter score. Tap it immediately after a mis-tap.
Quarter Bar
Shows the score for each quarter. Tap Next Q → in the header to advance to the next quarter. The 🏁 Final button ends the game.
Quarter Timer
Tap the timer display to set a countdown. Tap ▶ to start/pause it. The timer alerts you at halftime and when the game ends.
Player Stats
Logging game stats per player
Tapping Stat Buttons
Each player card has stat buttons. Tap once to add 1. The button flashes to confirm. Stats are broken down by quarter automatically.
Available Stats
All players: Catches, Flag Pulls, TDs, INTs, Conversions, Fumbles, Blocks
QB only: TD Passes, INTs Thrown, Conv. Passes
QB only: TD Passes, INTs Thrown, Conv. Passes
MVP Score
Each player's stat points feed a live MVP formula. The podium (🥇🥈🎖️) updates in real time in the Summary tab.
Coach Notes
Tap a player's name on the stats screen to expand their card and add a private note — great for post-game feedback.
Rotations
Track who's on offense and defense
Setting the Offense / Defense
Tap a player's name in the Rotations tab to toggle them ON OFFENSE (green) or ON DEFENSE (blue). Tapping again removes them from the field.
Snap Counts
Every time a player is rotated off the field, their snap count increments. See cumulative offensive and defensive snaps in the Summary tab → Play Time chart.
Why Rotations Matter
Use the data at end-of-season to make sure every player gets fair field time — especially important in youth leagues where equal play is required.
Penalty Tracker
Live flag counts for both teams
The Penalty Tracker bar appears automatically below the scoreboard on every game screen — no setup required.
Adding a Penalty Flag
Tap the +🚩 button on the appropriate side (your team or opponent) every time a flag is thrown. The count updates instantly.
Undo a Flag
Tapped by mistake? Hit ↩ to remove the last flag from that team's count.
In the Summary
If any penalties were called, a 🚩 Penalties row appears in the Game Summary tab showing the final flag count for both teams.
Voice Stat LoggingPRO
Hands-free coaching on the sideline
Works best on Chrome (Android) and Safari (iOS 17+). Tap the 🎙️ Voice Log button, speak clearly, and the app logs the stat instantly. A ding = logged. A buzz = try again.

💡 Voice Tips

Say the name first, then the stat — "Jaxon touchdown" not "touchdown Jaxon".
🔊
Ding = logged. Buzz = not recognized. If you hear a buzz, rephrase and try again.
👥
Use first name only (e.g. "Jaxon" not "Jaxon B."). The app matches partial names.
📶
Voice recognition requires internet to process audio. It won't work offline.
📱
iOS tip: Tap "Start Listening", speak, then tap "Stop Listening". Short bursts work best.
Season HistoryPRO
All-season records and trends
Season Record
The Season tab shows your all-time W/L/Tie record, total touchdowns, and a leaderboard of every player's cumulative season stats.
Saving a Game
After the game, go to the Summary tab and tap 💾 End Game & Save to Season. The game is added to your season history.
Player Development Trends
In the Season screen, tap 📈 Trends to view bar charts of each player's stats across every game — great for seeing who's improving.
Export & Backup
Tap ⬇ JSON to download your full season data as a backup file. Use Import to restore it on any device.
Tournament ModePRO
Bracket management for league events
Access Tournament Mode at cgmaxfftp.com/tournament.html — or tap the Tournament link in the app.

Create a Tournament
Choose your format: Single Elimination, Double Elimination, or Round Robin. Select 4, 8, or a custom number of teams (up to 16).

Enter Team Names
Type in each team name. The bracket auto-generates with the correct seeding structure.

Enter Game Scores
Tap any matchup in the bracket to enter the final score. The winner automatically advances to the next round.

Live Game Link
Tap 🏈 Start Live Game on any matchup to jump straight into the main app for that matchup — stats and rotations ready to go.
Champion Display
When the final game is scored, the champion team is displayed with a 🏆 trophy and confetti effect. Tournament is saved to history automatically.
Tournament History
Your last 10 tournaments are saved locally. Tap any past tournament to view the final bracket results.
Play DesignerPRO
Draw and save your playbook
Access Play Designer at cgmaxfftp.com/playdesigner.html — or tap the Play Designer link in the app.
The Field
A dark green canvas field with yard lines and a line of scrimmage. Pinch to zoom on mobile for precision drawing.
Players
6 offensive players (C, QB, WR1–WR4) with default formation positions. Toggle defensive players on/off. Drag any player to reposition them.
Drawing Routes
Switch to Draw Routes mode. Tap a player to select them (their color highlights), then draw their route on the field. Each player gets their own color.
Saving Plays
Tap Save Play, name your play, and it's added to your playbook. Up to 20 plays saved locally with miniature canvas thumbnails.
Undo
Tap Undo Route to erase the last route you drew. Reset the field to default positions with the Reset button.
Live Parent ScoreboardPRO

Start a Live Session
In the app, find the 📱 Parent Link section (below the scoreboard). Tap GO LIVE NOW — a 6-character session code is generated.

Copy & Share the Link
Tap COPY LINK — TEXT TO PARENTS. Paste it into your team group chat. Parents open it in any browser — no app, no login required.

Scores Push Automatically
Every time you tap a stat button or score button in the app, parents see it update on their screen within seconds.
The parent view is read-only. Parents can see the score, quarter, and top stats — but they can't tap anything or change any data. Live data auto-expires after 12 hours.

Enter the Key in the App
Open the app and tap the gold ⭐ PRO button in the top-right corner of the header. Enter your license key and tap Unlock.

Can't see the PRO button? Look for the gold ⭐ PRO button in the top-right header of the game screen. If you're already unlocked, it will show ✅ PRO in grey.
Coach Tips
Get the most out of game day
📴
Install on your home screen (Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen) so it works fully offline with no browser chrome. This is the best way to use it.
🔋
Keep your screen on. On iOS, go to Settings → Display → Auto-Lock → Never during game day. The timer still works if the screen dims.
🎙️
Voice logging beats tapping when you're moving around the sideline. Set up your roster names ahead of time so the app can match them.
📱
Send the parent link before kickoff. Tap GO LIVE NOW while you're still warming up so parents have the link ready when the game starts.
💾
Save every game to build your season record. End-of-season trends are only as good as the data you save game by game.
🔄
Use the Undo buttons liberally. Every scoreboard button and most stat buttons have an undo — no need to fear mis-taps.
🚩
Track penalties from the start. By end-of-season you'll see which games had the most flags — useful for identifying discipline patterns.
☀️
Use Light Mode outdoors. Tap ☀️ in the header to switch to a high-contrast light theme that's easier to read in bright sunlight.
